CrossFit 17.5: The Final Straw
We kept saying it. At least at our box we did. Where are the thrusters and double-unders?? Well they saved the best for last. Sort of. Listen I'm not excited for this one either but I rather have thrusters and dubs instead of thrusters and rowing (15.5) or thrusters and burpees (16.5). Yes this is going to SUCK! Yes it will be painful. Pace yourself and BREATHE!
Open Workout 17.5
10 rounds for time of:
9 thrusters, 95 lb.
35 double-unders
Men 95lb barbell/Women 65lb barbell
How are you going to tackle this couplet?
Here are my suggestions. Try not to break up the 9 thrusters and 30 double-unders BUT it is TEN rounds. Get your rest between each round, but don't take too long. You want to keep moving. Don't go too fast right out of the gate. Pace yourself. You can always pick up the pace if you find that you can. This workout will have your heart beating fast and your shoulders BURNING. Spin from the wrist when doing the dubs and relax the shoulders. Overall stay focused.
